 Types of transistors-

1.PNP 2.NPN

Function of transistor-

1. Amplification: It converts low signal into high signal. Oscillation produces this frequency

3. Modulation: It converts radio signal into audio signal.

4. Demodulation: This converts the audio signal into radio signal.

5. Also works for switching

OK condition of transistor-

We check the transistor by setting the multimeter on the Continuity point. If C and E from the transistor base shows value from one side and nothing from the other side then it is ok.

Faulty condition of transistor-

We check the transistor by setting the multimeter on the Continuity point. If nothing shows value from both sides C and E from the transistor base then the transistor is open (bad) 1. If the value shows value from both the sides then there is leakage 2. The transistor gives beep sound from both the sides and is short.
