Resistor is a component which creates obstruction in the path of current.
Resistor Type-
1- HVR (High Value Resistor) – A resistor whose value is more than 50 Ω Ohm is called HVR resistor.
2- LVR (Low Value Resistor) – can be 50 Ohms or the resistor less than 50 Ohms is called LVR.
3- VDR (Voltage Dependent Resistor) – The one which increases or decreases its value according to the voltage is called VDR resistor.
Testing OK condition-
To check the resistor, set the multimeter to the range of Ohm and check the resistor. If the same value is obtained from both the sides then it is OK.
Faulty condition-
We check the resistor by setting the multimeter on the range of Ohm. If the resistor does not emit anything from both the sides then it is open i.e. it is bad.
Note- LVR resistor makes beep sound at continuity point (beep turn).
Denoting letter – R
