Phone overheating
Every phone generates heat through three main components: the CPU, battery, and screen. And so, a mild and temporary heating is normal, especially when you've been using the phone for long periods. However, if the phone gets excessively hot, it could be due to a software/application glitch, excessive pressure on one of the three heat-generating components, or a hardware malfunction. Another common cause of phone overheating is liquid ingress. Below are some remedies to prevent your phone from overheating:

Keep all your phone's apps and software updated.
Avoid playing HD games and watching videos for extended periods.
Avoid charging your battery to 100% full or letting it drain to 0%.
Don't leave your phone directly in the sunlight.
When your phone gets too hot, turn it off. If it's charging, disconnect the charger immediately and let it cool down. Ideally, you activate airplane mode to prevent further tasks.
Restart your phone when it cools down. Close unused apps.
If you're using one, remove the phone case.
Use only the original charger and don't leave your phone charging overnight.
